Legends of this golden root....

Turmeric folklore has been around as long as the root has been cultivated which dates back to very early traditional years. Just now, in society today, tarmac is finally being researched and brought to life through social media. However before all the articles and blogs about the health benefits of this amazing root, turmeric was considered a precious golden spice to many different cultures, and has been included in many rituals and daily activities based on stories and myths of good fortune and luck. A specific example is looking into the Indian culture specifically with the Haldi Ceremony in the Hindu religion. As seen in the photo attached above, turmeric(haldi) is spread across the skin of this individual and is mixed often with rose water and it is said that whoever spreads this haldi paste on their skin or specifically their face, will find a good looking partner in their future. Now knowing the many healing and anti-aging properties of turmeric we see how this ritual is very possible as it can definitely improve the skin and radiance of it. This ritual and ceremony has been around for so long that every individual within this culture knows of these stories and ceremonies without reading the benefits of the newly researched root, turmeric.
